Lazio Following Talented Rangers Youngster Amidst Interest From the Premier League

Lazio have identified Rangers forward Ianis Hagi as a possible target for this summer’s transfer window.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, Biancocelesti sporting director Igli Tare has been following the 22-year-old Romanian forward for some time now, even registering interest in the player last summer when he was still with Genk.

Rangers purchased Hagi for €6 million and 12 months later, the player could already look to leave Scotland in order to make a breakthrough in the top leagues in Europe, with Lazio being a welcome destination.

Lazio may have some openings up front, with the purchase of Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira seeming unlikely currently, as well as the potential departure of Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo.

No contact has been made yet, but it shows the type of transfer strategy that Lazio are looking to employ in this summer’s transfer window.

Hagi, who is valued at around €10 million, has scored six goals and provided nine assists in 27 league appearances this campaign, and is followed by multiple Premier League clubs.
