IFFHS Rank Lazio as the Third Best Italian Team for the 2011-2020 Decade

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has continued to issue its rankings for the 2011-2020 decade. This time around, the organization announced its ranking for the Best World Club of the Decade 2011-2020.

FC Barcelona finished at the top of the list thanks to its 2,877 total points. With Serie A clubs, three Italian teams topped out in the top 30. Juventus (6th), Napoli (12th) and Lazio (30th) all represented the league in the top tier of the final rankings.

Lazio’s 1,622.5 total points placed the side just above the likes of Olympiacos (1,618) and Inter Milan (1,593.5). Overall, the total points are allocated based on wins in all competitions.

Lazio had a stout 2011-2020 decade thanks to its four domestic trophy wins and four top-four Serie A finishes. The Biancocelesti also recorded three different league seasons with at least 70+ points, such as in the last campaign when it logged an impressive 78 points in the final standings.

Lazio is well among the top teams in Serie A today.
