Lazio President Lotito: “No Comment on Simone Inzaghi’s Contract Renewal”

Lazio president Claudio Lotito did not want to discuss the progress of coach Simone Inzaghi’s contract renewal with the club.

Speaking in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Biancocelesti president spoke about Giancarlo Inzaghi’s comments to the media yesterday.

I don’t get involved in the media, I have nothing to say to him. No comment on Simone’s renewal.

The 44-year-old Inzaghi’s contract expires with the Lazio at the end of the season, after five years in the role, and talks regarding a contract renewal have been ongoing for the majority of this season.

Whilst it has seemed many times that an agreement had finally been reached, Inzaghi has still not put pen to paper yet, leaving open the possibility of leaving at the end of this campaign.

Lotito is keen to continue working with Inzaghi, but has already begun looking at possible replacements, should the 44-year-old Italian decide not to sign a contract renewal.
