Ex-Coach Eriksson: “It Won’t Be Easy for Lazio to Qualify for Europe This Season”

Former Lazio coach Sven Goran Eriksson discussed the Biancocelesti’s season so far when speaking in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.

Today’s Lazio are out of the title race, although they are still fighting for a place in Europe between the Champions League and the Europa League.

It won’t be easy, as there are so many teams in the mix, from Atalanta to Roma and Napoli, who have been on the up lately.

He then moved on to discussing coach Simone Inzaghi, whose contract expires with Lazio at the end of the season.

Simone is no longer a surprise, let’s face it. I’m also really enjoying his brother Pippo’s work at Benevento, and not just for the historic win against Juventus in Turin.

Both have always lived from and for football, they deserve it.

Lazio’s next Serie A clash is against Spezia on the 3rd of April, after the ongoing international break.
