Lazio Primavera Talent Daniel Guerini Tragically Passes Away Aged 19

Lazio Primavera talent Daniel Guerini tragically passed away at the age of 19 last night, following a car crash in Rome.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, Guerini was involved in a collision at a junction in Rome at around 8pm last night.

The 19-year-old was killed in a collision between a Mercedes A-class car driven by a 68-year-old man and a Smart For Four car carrying three 19-year-olds. The Smart car allegedly rolled several times and sadly the impact was fatal for Guerini, although the two other teenagers survived.

Guerini grew up in Lazio’s youth system, before moving around to Torino, SPAL and Fiorentina. He returned to the Biancocelesti only two months ago, joining the Primavera squad.

Lazio released a short statement last night, saying:

Still in disbelief and shocked by the pain, the president, the men and women of Società Sportiva Lazio send their condolences to the family of young Daniel Guerini.

The editorial staff of The Laziali would like to express their condolences to Guerini’s family and friends.
