Muriqi Scores for Kosovo in 4-0 Win Over Lithuania & Reaffirms His Commitment to Lazio

Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi scored for Kosovo in their 4-0 friendly win over Lithuania yesterday.

The 26-year-old Kosovan, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, scored a header in the 63rd minute, connecting to a well-placed cross from Milot Rashica and beating the goalkeeper with a powerful header.

Despite his struggles in Rome this season, Muriqi is consistently a threat for the Kosovan national team, having scored 10 goals in 26 appearances since making his debut for the side in 2016.

After the match, Muriqi dismissed the rumours that he was looking to return to Fenerbahce in the summer when speaking to the media (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

I’ve been unlucky with Lazio between Covid-19, injuries. I also missed the pre-season training camp in Austria. I need to learn the Italian language, it’s right to do so.

I also need to adapt to the team. I have a five-year contract with Lazio. I’m happy in Rome!
