Coming into the Italian national team’s 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture against Northern Ireland, Ciro Immobile had been in sluggish form as of late.
Immobile failed to score in Lazio’s last seven matches in all competitions. But finally, the Lazio star has a goal to end the drought.
In the first half of Italy’s fixture against Northern Ireland, Immobile doubled the lead for his side off of a keen solo goal. The Italian surprised Northern Ireland with a tight-angle goal for the 2-0 lead.
This was just the goal that Immobile needed.
