Lazio Not Concerned About Fares’ Knee Injury: Expected to Feature Against Spezia

Lazio wing-back Mohamed Fares is still recovering from a knee injury but the club are not concerned.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 25-year-old Algerian wing-back was absent from squad training yesterday, which was carried out with a reduced group in Formello.

The former SPAL man suffered a sprained left knee in the 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League earlier this month, but the club are not too worried regarding his condition.

Fares is expected to returning to squad training at the start of next week, and is likely to feature in the match against Spezia on the 3rd April, after the conclusion of the ongoing international break.

The 25-year-old Fares has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1075 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist, but has struggled to impress particularly.
