Overall, Immobile had a promising performance in the match. Aside from the goal, the Lazio star also went on to four goal-scoring chances, win two ground duels and log an interception.
Immobile did miss on a trio of high percentage chances in the match. Nonetheless, Immobile finally has his goal to end the long drought.
Italy will be taking on Bulgaria and Lithuania up next for its remaining qualifying matches in the ongoing March international window. It will be interesting to see whether Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini plans to start Immobile in either fixture.
