Former Lazio Defender Piscedda Analyzes Ciro Immobile’s Recent Performances for the Italian National Team

Former Italian and Lazio defender Massimo Piscedda provided for his thoughts on Ciro Immobile’s play with Italy.

Immobile has featured in both of Italy’s 2022 World Cup qualifying fixtures so far over the ongoing international window. Immobile scored a goal against Northern Ireland and wound up being a second-half substitute in the match against Bulgaria.

Piscedda sees a promising form with Immobile’s play for Italy as of late and even hints (via Cittaceleste) that the Lazio forward will reach the 20-goal mark for the Biancocelesti in Serie A this season.

I’m happy for Immobile and for the fact that he managed to find the goal as well. If an attacker is capable of scoring, he will always find the way to do it. It is not a problem if he is experiencing a lean moment in the league. Soon he will return to inflate the net. I am sure that again this year, he will reach twenty goals in Serie A.

Immobile currently stands at 14 goals in league play so far this season. It certainly seems doable for a striker like Immobile that he could go on to score six goals over 11 matches, which is the number of fixtures that Lazio has left on its league schedule.
