Quiet Night for Lazio Defender Acerbi in the Azzurri’s 2-0 Win Over Bulgaria

Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi had a quiet night in Italy’s 2-0 win over Bulgaria yesterday.

Starting in the Azzurri’s 2022 World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria yesterday, the 33-year-old Italian had a calm night in the centre of the defense, alongside Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.

The Biancocelesti defender, who played the full 90 minutes of the match, performed solid. He had a pass success rate of 95%, he committed three fouls, drew one foul, won one aerial duel and took one shot.

The 33-year-old Acerbi is not likely to be a stapled-on starter for Italy in this summer’s European Championship, with Juventus duo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini likely to remain consistently in Roberto Mancini’s starting eleven.
