Ever since Roberto Mancini took over as manager of the Italian national team, he has aimed to find that one reliable striker that the side could rely on over a game-by-game basis.

For the moment, there seems to be good competition between Torino’s Andrea Belotti and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile for the starting center-forward role on the team. These two talents have been among the team’s top performers ever since Mancini was unveiled as the manager of the team.

As noted by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Belotti has scored seven goals under Mancini, which ranks as the most over this time period.

For Immobile, he has scored four goals under Mancini, which trails only behind Belotti’s seven and Jorginho’s six.

Immobile is just days removed from his one-goal showing in Italy’s opening 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture against Northern Ireland. The Lazio star will surely look to add to his current total in the upcoming match against Lithuania.
