Former Italian defender Giuseppe Bergomi does not rule out Lazio from possibly making a late push for a top-four spot in Serie A this season.

Lazio currently sits at seventh place in the league standings this season. The Biancocelesti’s recent run of underwhelming performances dropped the side to now being six points being fourth place Atalanta, although the Biancocelesti has a game in hand.

Bergomi does not see (via Cittaceleste) clear favorites in the race for the second to fourth spots in the league standings, but he does believe that Lazio should not be counted out just yet.

There are many teams in the fight and little is understood. Among other things, with fewer matches, it becomes even more of a puzzle. Until we remove the asterisk from Juventus and Napoli, we can’t do it. After we will be able to understand a lot.

Inter should have no problems, at this point, to win the Scudetto. Atalanta in general always give their best in the final of the season, making many strings important.

While Roma and Lazio are a little further back in the standings, but watch out. They can have their say until the end.

Lazio could surely use another key winning streak at this point in the season.
