Lazio Coach Inzaghi Calls for Squad to Avoid Distractions in Race for Top 4 Finish

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi does not want the squad to be distracted in the final stages of this season.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 44-year-old Italian coach has called for the squad to ignore the legal issues currently surrounding the club, relating to the inconsistent Covid-19 case in court, and instead focus on results.

Inzaghi wants the squad to keep their concentration high, with the core objective to achieve a top four finish and Champions League qualification.

The Biancocelesti currently sit 7th in the Serie A table, six points behind 4th place Atalanta, although the Roman club have a game in hand.

The Lazio coach will not accept any excuses now, and any injuries or off the pitch issues must not bother the squad in the final few months of the season.

The same also goes for Inzaghi, who has not signed a new contract yet, although he is waiting for a meeting with president Claudio Lotito.
