Lazio Defender Luiz Felipe Enters Final Stages of Recovery: Expected Back Next Month

Lazio defender Luiz Felipe is entering the final stages of his recovery programme and is expected to return next month.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 24-year-old Brazilian defender started running again in Formello yesterday, continuing his recovery from ankle surgery that was carried out at the end of January.

Luiz Felipe wore trainers and had his first gentle run on the treadmill in the gym, entering the final stages of his recovery programme.

The Brazilian defender expects to be with the squad in around three weeks and is hoping to be available in time for the match against Napoli on the 22nd April, or the following match against AC Milan on the 26th.

Luiz Felipe’s return would be fundamental for coach Simone Inzaghi in the final few games of the season, which are likely to be decisive in the race for a top four finish.
