Lazio May Look to Extend Manchester United Midfielder’s Loan Deal

Lazio may look to keep Manchester United owned forward Andreas Pereira for at least another season.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 25-year-old Brazilian has enjoyed his time in Italy so far and would like to stay in Rome, despite his inconsistent playing time this season under coach Simone Inzaghi.

He was tested up front against the Primavera team in a friendly recently and did well as a forward, hitting the crossbar at one point, giving the 44-year-old Italian coach another possible option.

Lazio could look to renew his loan deal or get the Red Devils to lower their requested price, as the €27 million figure is too high for the Roman club.

Pereira has been praised by other clubs including Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, but his time in Rome may not be over just yet.

The 25-year-old Pereira has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 613 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided three assists, but he has only made two starts in the league all campaign.
