Lazio midfielder Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro featured in Ivory Coast’s 3-1 win over Ethiopia yesterday.
The 28-year-old Biancocelesti man started for his nation as they cruised to an important victory over Ethiopia in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, leaving them top of Group K after six games.

Akpa Akpro failed to light up the fixture, failing to directly contribute to a goal, although he was performing adequately before being brought off in the 68th minute, to make way for FC Sion’s Serey Die.
The 28-year-old Akpa Akpro has only recently started working his way back into the Ivory Coast set up, having featured in four matches for the side in the second half of last year. Before then, his last national team cap was back in 2015.

The Ivorian midfielder, who is contracted to Lazio until 2024, has been an important squad player for coach Simone Inzaghi this season, having made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, although only seven of them were starts.
