Lazio Striker Changes Agents Amidst Rumours of Moving on From Rome

Lazio striker Felipe Caicedo has changed agents and is now working with Matteo Materazzi’s MM1976 agency.

As seen in a post on Materazzi’s Instagram page yesterday, the 32-year-old Ecuadorian forward has decided to leave former agent Gonzalo Vargas and his SportCapital EC agency, and is now working with Materazzi, who is the brother of 2006 World Cup winner Marco Materazzi.

Caicedo is the second Biancocelesti player to be represented by the Italian agent, joining Romanian veteran Stefan Radu.

The 32-year-old Caicedo was linked with a possible move away from Rome in the recent January transfer window, with a possible move to Fiorentina even on the table, but eventually it was clear that he would be staying with Lazio.

The Ecuadorian forward’s contract expires with the club in 2022 and it’s unlikely that he will be offered a new contract.

Materazzi commented on the move on Instagram, saying:

Proud to be able to work with you Felipe.
