The Federal Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into Torino’s conduct regarding their postponed match against Lazio.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the Prosecutor’s Office led by Giuseppe Chinè has opened an investigation into the Granata, on the basis of the grounds established by Professor Piero Sandulli in yesterday’s trial at the Court of Appeal.

Sandulli laid out the following facts at yesterday’s trial, which also saw Lazio’s appeal against the decision not to award them a 3-0 forfeit win against Torino.

There is no doubt that F.C. Torino S.p.A. has profited from the measure adopted by the Turin health authority, moreover, at the request of the Granata club itself.

Behaviour marked by a sort of ‘cunning’ that is in no way in line with the principles of loyalty, probity and correctness that must always inspire those who take part in competitions.

Therefore, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office has begun the investigation into Torino’s conduct.
