Former Italian Forward Giordano Sees Concern With Ciro Immobile’s Recent Form

Former Italian forward Bruno Giordano sees growing concerns with Ciro Immobile’s recent performances as of late.

Immobile came into the March international break in sluggish form. Over his last seven appearances in all competitions with Lazio, he did not score a goal, whether from open play or a penalty.

For the Italian national team, Immobile finished with two goals in three matches in March, although he had multiple more chances to add to his goal tally.

As Giordano detailed to the Italian-based outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, there should already be some concern with Immobile’s recent play.

In recent months, I haven’t seen him well from a physical point of view. He may be nervous, yes, but he’s not in top condition and maybe he feels it. But he’s been playing every three days for so long now… In time, he will get back to his former self.

Immobile will look to break his recent Serie A goal-scoring slump in Lazio’s upcoming fixture against Spezia
