Lazio Striker Ciro Immobile in Doubt for Serie A Clash Against Spezia

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile may miss tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Spezia due to fatigue.

According to a report from Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian forward did not train yesterday at Formello, suffering from fatigue after starting two of Italy’s three matches in this international break.

Coach Simone Inzaghi is worried about forcing Immobile to start against Spezia whilst he’s not at his best, and so may choose to rest him against the Ligurian side tomorrow afternoon, allowing Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo to start in his place.

The 31-year-old Immobile has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2426 minutes. In that time, he has scored 19 goals and provided five assists, continuing to be the star of the Roman squad.
