Spezia president Stefano Chisoli highlighted the difficulty of tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Lazio.
Speaking to Italian radio broadcaster Radio Sportiva (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Italian businessman was hopeful of the Ligurian side’s chances against a difficult Biancocelesti side tomorrow.
It will be a very difficult game against Lazio, but we’ll play with an open mind. We’ll see who will be more ready on Saturday, because some of their players have just returned from national teams.
Small teams score points against big teams and it’s difficult for them to play against any opponent. Then the individual values come out, but we’ll be able to play every game from here to the end.
Vincenzo Italiano’s Spezia have been one of the surprises of the season, earning promotion last season in the Serie B play-offs after beating Frosinone in the final.
The Ligurian side currently sit 15th in Serie A after 28 games, impressive considering this is the club’s first ever season in the Italian top-flight, making them the 66th unique team to play at this level.
