Over the FIFA international break, Lazio felt the loss of Daniel Guerini, a youth player in their Primavera system who died in a car accident. The teenager’s funeral took place this past week, and now the players in the senior squad will pay their respects.
During Lazio’s warm-ups ahead of their fixture against Spezia Calcio, players on the squad will be wearing a custom t-shirt to honour Guerini. It’s a way for the players who could not attend the funeral to say goodbye to the young player.
