Belgian side Royal Antwerp F.C. is putting serious consideration into signing current Lazio loanee Jordan Lukaku to a permanent transfer deal, as noted by the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
Antwerp is weighing in on whether to make Lukaku’s current loan stint with the side a permanent one. This would mean that Antwerp will need to trigger the €3.5 million purchase option in Lukaku’s loan deal.
It is not yet known whether Lazio would be open to parting ways with Lukaku or if the side aims to have the talent back for the next season.
Lukaku joined Antwerp over the recent summer transfer window on a one-year loan agreement. Since then, he has gone on to make the most of his current run with the side thanks to his four goal contributions in 24 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Lukaku is now well among the regulars in Antwerp’s starting lineups.
