Francesco Acerbi made his 25th Serie A start of the season during Lazio’s fixture against Spezia. Overall, Acerbi ranks first in this category among all defenders within the team.

Acerbi once again led the team’s defensive line thanks to a fine overall showing against Spezia. Overall, the Italian defender recorded 78 passes completed, four tackles won five ground duels, one interception and one goal-scoring chance created in the match.

Acerbi played a key role in holding Spezia to a mere three total shots on target in the match.

The Lazio defender continues to add to his already stout league campaign this season, which is not much of a surprise to Lazio’s coaching staff. In Serie A play this season, he is sporting averages of 2.6 interceptions per game and 1.7 tackles won per game.

Acerbi also leads the team in passes completed per game in league play with a formidable 55.4 average.
