UEFA celebrated Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi’s 45th birthday by remembering his four goals against Marseille in the Champions League.
As seen in a video on UEFA’s Twitter page earlier today, the Italian netted four times for the Biancocelesti in a Champions League match against Olympique de Marseille on the 14th March 2000, making him of the few players to achieve that feat.
Throughout his career, Inzaghi scored 55 goals and provided five assists in 196 appearances for the Roman club, being a part of the squad that won the Scudetto in the 1999/2000 season.
UEFA posted the video alongside the caption:
Happy birthday to Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi, one of the very few men to score four goals in a single UEFA Champions League match.
