Lazzari & Correa Suspended for One Match: Will Miss Hellas Verona-Lazio

Lazio duo Manuel Lazzari and Joaquin Correa have been handed a one-game suspension and will miss Sunday’s match against Hellas Verona, the Sporting Judge has announced.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the pair were sent off in the dying minutes of the 2-1 win over Spezia on the weekend, and will miss this weekend’s league match against the Gialloblu.

Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric, who was sent off in the 2-0 win over Cagliari on the weekend, will also miss Sunday’s match. The Croatian coach expressed an insulting comment towards the opposing team’s coach Leonardo Semplici which was heard by a fourth official. He was also fined €5000.

Lazzari was also fined, receiving a €10,000 bill because he approached an opponent in a threatening way, which caused him to fall.

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi will start Felipe Caicedo and Adam Marusic in place of the two suspended players for the upcoming match against the Gialloblu.
