Lazio wing-back Adam Marusic is set to start against Hellas Verona on weekend, although his starting role is currently unclear.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, coach Simone Inzaghi is unsure whether to start the 28-year-old Montenegrin as a right wing-back or on the right side of the back three.

Much depends on the physical condition of Spanish defender Patric, who was again absent from training today due to back problems.

One idea of Inzaghi’s is that Marusic could slot into the defense, with Senad Lulic moving to the right wing-back role and Mohamed Fares starting on the left. Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro could also start in that wing-back position.

Up front, Felipe Caicedo is likely to start alongside Ciro Immobile, with Vedat Muriqi starting the match on the bench.

It’s still unclear if Luis Alberto will be a part of the squad on Sunday, as he also missed training today due to concerns surrounding his ankle.
