Lazio Squad Enter Bubble After Coach Simone Inzaghi Tests Positive For COVID-19

Lazio triggered their protective Covid-19 bubble after coach Simone Inzaghi tested positive for the virus earlier this week.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 45-year-old Italian coach tested positive for the virus on Tuesday evening, meaning that he is now forced in isolating at home with his family, who also tested positive for the contagion.

After the club discovered his Covid-19 positivity, the bubble was triggered for the squad, meaning that they’re now restricted to travelling from home to the training ground in Formello and back, making sure to take significant precautions to avoid also catching the virus.

The first round of tests have already been carried out and will be repeated every 48 hours until Sunday morning when rapid tests will be carried out in Verona.

The squad only had one day of contact with coach Inzaghi, on Tuesday, and so far it does not appear that his positivity has spread to any members of the squad.
