La Liga side Real Betis have reached an agreement to sign Lazio defender Mateo Musacchio at the end of the season.
According to a report from Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net yesterday, the Biancocelesti will not be looking to permanently sign the 30-year-old Argentine defender, who joined on loan from AC Milan in the January transfer window.

Musacchio’s contract expires with the Rossoneri at the end of the season and Lazio have an option to sign the defender on a two-year contract but have decided not to exercise it.
The 30-year-old Argentinian has not convinced coach Simone Inzaghi this season, with the 45-year-old Italian often preferring to deploy Spaniard Patric or Italian midfielder Marco Parolo.

Musacchio was brought in to replace the injured Luiz Felipe, but the 24-year-old’s recovery is almost complete and so there’ll be no space for the AC Milan-owned man.
Real Betis sporting director Antonio Cordon is a fan of Musacchio and so will finally be able to get his man this summer, with personal terms already being agreed upon.
