Spezia Coach Vincenzo Italiano: “Defeat to Lazio Left Us Bitter”

Spezia coach Vincenzo Italiano highlighted the team’s frustration at their 2-1 loss to Lazio last weekend.

Speaking to gathered reporters in a press conference earlier today (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) ahead of Spezia’s Serie A clash against Cagliari tomorrow, Italiano discussed the disappointing result against the Biancocelesti.

I think the Lazio game left us with a lot of bitterness because we could have brought home an important point for our spot in the league table, for the consistency we could have given to the previous victory.

But once again the guys put in a great performance. It’s a pity we didn’t get a few more points to add to our tally.

Spezia currently sit 16th in the Serie A table after 29 games, sitting seven points ahead of 18th place Cagliari. A win in tomorrow’s game could be key in the fight to avoid relegation this campaign.
