Lazio’s Ciro Immobile Fails to Record a Shot on Target in Two Straight Serie A Matches for the First Time This Season

Ciro Immobile’s Serie A woes continued during Lazio’s fixture against Verona. In the match, Immobile failed to score a goal and finished with a mere two total shots with neither of them being on target.

Overall, Immobile has now come away without a goal in eight straight league matches. The Italian forward last scored in a Serie A match during Lazio’s 1-0 win against Cagliari.

More so, Immobile’s performances as of late are starting to bring more concern. For instance, he failed to record a shot on target in his last two league matches, which is the first time this season that he has accomplished this lowly feat.

The last time that Immobile went two straight matches in all competitions without recording a shot on target came in January with the back-to-back matches against Atalanta in Coppa Italia and Serie A play.

Immobile will now look ahead to the team’s upcoming fixture against Benevento where he surely aims to finally score a long-awaited goal.
