Former Italian Forward Cassano Says Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Has Become a “Total Player” With Lazio

Former Italian forward Antonio Cassano lauded Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for his play as of late with Lazio.

The midfielder is just coming off of the one-goal performance against Verona, with his goal ending up being the game-winner in Lazio’s 1-0 win. Overall, The Serbian has contributed a total of 15 goal involvements this season (seven goals and eight assists).

Cassano is much of a fan of Milinkovic-Savic and is pleased to see the midfielder continue to progress with his play. Cassano spoke further to Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel Bobo TV (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) about the Lazio star.

He’s never exhilarated me, and he didn’t exhilarate me two years ago either, but now he can do it all. Now he plays the football we like; he deserves a great opportunity, and he will get it. He has completed his maturation. Both Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto have become total players.

Milinkovic-Savic has a real opportunity at recording his first career 20-goal involvements campaign. The Serbian midfielder is certainly capable of recording five more goal involvements over Lazio’s last nine remaining fixtures this season.
