Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has matched his Biancocelesti record of goal contributions in a single season with nine more games yet to play.
As seen in a post on Lazio Page’s Twitter yesterday, the 26-year-old Serbian midfielder’s goal against Hellas Verona yesterday brought his season total goal tally to seven.
In this Serie A campaign, Milinkovic-Savic has also contributed eight assists, meaning his total goal contributions this season is now 15, matching the record he set in the 2017/18 season, where he scored 12 goals and provided three assists.
The 26-year-old Serb can now look to set a new personal record this season, which seems likely considering his consistently strong performances and importance to coach Simone Inzaghi’s team.
Milinkovic-Savic has started all but one game across all competitions so far this season, with his solid physical condition helping him to remain fit despite the incredibly busy schedule.
