Real Madrid & Paris Saint-Germain Showing Early Interest for Lazio’s Milinkovic-Savic

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has regularly been linked with other clubs for a possible permanent transfer move in years past. This time around, the rumours are now trickling a few months before the start of the summer transfer window.

As noted by the Italian-based outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Espana), Real Madrid is showing an early interest in a possible transfer move for Milinkovic-Savic.

Real Madrid is not the only club that is pondering such a move, as Paris Saint-Germain has also been scouring over whether to pursue the Lazio star.

This is not the first time that the Spanish powerhouse has been linked with the Serbian midfielder. Late last year, Real Madrid reportedly showed an interest in signing Milinkovic-Savic with the Italian side stern on not settling for any offer below €100 million.

Milinkovic-Savic has previously stated his desire to stay on with Lazio, but it is not known whether he would entertain such a move to Real Madrid over the upcoming summer window. Earlier this year, he did publicly touch on his ambition to one day play for Real Madrid.

The Lazio midfielder has continued to shine for the club in Serie A play this season. He has recorded 15 league goal involvements so far this season, which ranks second on the team behind Ciro Immobile’s 17.

Milinkovic-Savic currently has a contract with Lazio that runs up until 2024.
