Former Italian Forward Giordano Analyzes Ciro Immobile’s Recent Sluggish Form in Serie A

Ciro Immobile is currently on one of the worst goal-scoring runs of his Lazio career. In Serie A play, the Italian forward has gone his last eight straight league fixtures without scoring a goal. Thus, the Lazio star is still stuck at 14 league goals so far this season.

Former Italian forward Bruno Giordano is much concerned with Immobile’s play as of late. Still, Giordano sees (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) that Immobile is capable of soon turning around his form with a strong run of performances.

When you don’t score goals, six to seven days is a long time. A period like that can happen. There is also a bit of bad luck for him, but that’s the job of a striker. You score goals when you don’t expect it, when you look for it, it may not come.

Lazio will surely need the best of Immobile in some of its key fixtures over the remainder of the season, such as with the return rivalry clash against AS Roma.
