Adam Marusic’s Agent Has Opened Talks With Lazio Regarding a New Contract

Lazio wing-back Adam Marusic’s agent has opened talks with the club to discuss the 28-year-old’s contract renewal.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Montenegrin wing-back has been one of the most important players in coach Simone Inzaghi’s squad so far this season, with his tactical flexibility being key in the 45-year-old Italian’s squad selection.

Marusic is able to play as a left or right wing-back, as well as in the back three, and this has given Inzaghi many options to rotate this season, important considering the incredibly busy schedule.

His agent Mateja Kezman, the same agent who represents Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, has already opened talks with the club, but so far there is some distance between the two parties.

Marusic’s current deal expires in 2022 and he currently earns around €800,000 net per season, a figure that will surely increase considering his importance and strong performances this campaign.

The 28-year-old Montenegrin has made 38 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3094 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals and provided five assists.
