Formello: Lazio Carefully Managing Conditions of Leiva, Immobile & Luis Alberto

Lazio are carefully managing the physical conditions of Lucas Leiva, Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto, ahead of Sunday’s match against Benevento.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the trio were spared from the athletic work and the final training match during today’s session at Formello, with the Biancocelesti carefully managing the trio’s physical condition.

Luis Alberto is feeling ok but is trying not to push himself after suffering an ankle sprain 10 days ago.

Tactical exercises ahead of the Benevento clash will begin in the next few days, with the squad still having three more training sessions before Sunday’s match.

Coach Simone Inzaghi intends to start Adam Marusic in the backline alongside Francesco Acerbi and Stefan Radu, with Manuel Lazzari and Joaquin Correa both returning to the squad.

Patric also trained with the squad today, despite still feeling some discomfort as a result of the back pains that have been plaguing him lately.

Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe carried out a separate training session today, putting on his boots and working a little with the ball. When he’s fit enough Lazio will make a decision regarding his inclusion in the squad.
