Lazio are looking to strengthen their defense through free agents this summer, with three names in the Premier League, in particular, attracting the Biancocelesti’s attention.
According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, sporting director Igli Tare is preparing for a busy summer transfer window and is paying particular attention to players who will be free agents after the end of June.

Whilst it’s no secret that Lazio have been linked with River Plate forward Santos Borré and Napoli defender Nikola Maksimovic, both of whom will be leaving on a free this summer, three other players in England have also attracted Tare’s attention.

These three players are Arsenal’s David Luiz, Chelsea’s Thiago Silva and Crystal Palace’s Mamadou Sakho. All three match Lazio’s goal of increasing the experience in the squad, with recent signing Pepe Reina showing the value of this approach this campaign.
For now, these players are just an idea for the Biancocelesti, but it’s a situation to pay attention to, especially if the Roman club achieves qualification to the Champions League.
