Lazio and Barcelona are set to compete for the same defensive reinforcements this summer, including Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez and AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli.
According to reports from the Spanish press (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Blaugrana are looking to overhaul their defense this summer and are looking for a left-footed defender.

Two of the players they’re considering are Martinez and Romagnoli, both players who are also on Lazio’s radar as the Biancocelesti management look to provide reinforcements for Simone Inzaghi’s defense.
The Catalan side have also almost closed out the deal for Manchester City’s Eric Garcia on a free transfer, another player on Igli Tare’s wishlist.

Real Betis’ Aissa Mandi is another player who has attracted the attention of both Lazio and Barcelona. He’ll leave on a free transfer this summer and both clubs have already made enquiries, but the high fee demanded by his agents has stalled talks for now.
