Lazio defender Luiz Felipe is finally set to return to the squad later this month, re-joining in time for the toughest part of the season.
According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 24-year-old Brazilian defender is already training separately and has been making good progress in his recovery programme, not suffering any particular setbacks.

The Biancocelesti remain cautious for now, but still expect to see him return in a few weeks’ time. It’s unlikely that he’ll be in the squad for the match against Napoli in seven days’ time, but he could return to the squad for the match after against AC Milan.

Lazio will have to decide who to remove from the registered squad list in order to make space for Luiz Felipe, with options including Argentine defender Mateo Musacchio and Dutchman Wesley Hoedt, both of whom have failed to impress this campaign.
