Lazio veteran Stefan Radu has signed a one-year contract extension with the Biancocelesti.
According to a report from Italian journalist Nicolò Schira on Twitter earlier today, the 34-year-old Romanian defender wanted to continue his adventure in Rome beyond the end of this season, when his current deal expires.

After some talks, Radu has agreed upon a one-year extension and has signed the deal, which will see him earn €1.2 million, with his new deal set to expire in June 2022.
The 34-year-old Lazio defender broke the club’s all-time appearance record recently and has made 403 appearances for the Biancocelesti across all competitions, beating Giuseppe Favalli’s record of 401.

Radu has been an ever-present part of coach Simone Inzaghi’s squad so far this season, only missing games due to injury.
The Romanian centre-back has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1870 minutes. In that time, he has provided three assists and helped the side keep eight clean sheets.
