Former Lazio Women Player Patrizia Panico Comments on Lazio-Benevento

Lazio will welcome Benevento Calcio to the Stadio Olimpico. Simone Inzaghi’s side hopes to come away with all three points as they look to make one final push into a top-four finish in Serie A.

Former Lazio Women’s squad player Patrizia Panico spoke to the microphones of Lazio Style Radio (via Lazio News), where she discussed various topics concerning her former club.

Panico touched on Lazio’s form and scoring late in fixtures to secure a positive result. Furthermore, she adds the type of squad that the Biancocelesti will be facing this weekend.

The stakes cannot be higher, but if they score in the last minutes, even from a physical and mental point of view, they have the strength and energy to overturn a result.

I don’t think it’s easy to go up against teams that are at the bottom of the table. I have watched Benevento a lot; they waste many scoring chances. But they are experiencing a time when they are collecting less points than what they show.

If Lazio wants to achieve important goals, they cannot fail to achieve full results. It is all based on the strength of the group, even if there are very good individuals.

The next topic that Panico touched on is Adam Marušić. Panico adds that the 28-year-old has become a valuable piece for Inzaghi’s squad. In 38 appearances, Marušić has scored two goals and registered five assists this season.

Luck was Marusic’s answer; no one could have imagined performances of this kind. He is proving to be a valuable player. In addition, there is Lazzari, who will be returning after having a break. I imagine that Inzaghi will take advantage of his freshness.

Marušić is under contract until 2022, so the Italian side will need to begin contract extension talks with Marušić to keep him long-term in Rome.
