Ciro Immobile Scores His 150th Serie A Goal in Lazio’s 5-3 Victory Over Benevento

Ciro Immobile scored one of the three goals in the first half for Lazio, which not only provided him with confidence after a rough goal-scoring drought, but it also marked his 150th goal in Serie A.

It took the 31-year-old eight years and 235 days after netting his first to reach this milestone in his career. Only Gunnar Nordahl, Giuseppe Meazza, Stefano Nyers, and Giuseppe Signori are the four players in the history of Serie A who has reached this milestone in less time, per OptaPaolo.

The Italy international would add a second goal in the match against Benevento to score goal 151 in his Serie A career and secure the victory.

Lazio is trying to make one last push to try and finish in Serie A’s top-four. With points becoming crucial in the handful of fixtures remaining, if Immobile can finish off the 2020-21 season on a high note, that might be the push Lazio need to finish in the top four.
