With Benevento giving their all to secure at least a point against Lazio, the Rome-based club took advantage of them having too many men forward and scored off of a counter-attack.
Although the Benevento defense tried to rush back to their end with tired legs, they left their goalkeeper out to dry. Marco Parolo, who had started the counter-attack, centered the ball to Ciro Immobile and the 31-year-old would do the rest.
He score his second goal of the game, securing the win for Lazio.
