Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has had one impressive playmaking campaign in Serie A this season.

In Lazio’s recent Serie A fixture against Benevento, Milinkovic-Savic assisted Ciro Immobile for the second goal of the match. Overall, this assist was the one goal-scoring chance created by Milinkovic-Savic in the match, but at the least, he made it count on the scoresheet.

On the season, Milinkovic-Savic has now recorded nine league assists this season, which is a new career-high for him. More so, the Serbian midfielder is now tied with Juventus’ Alvaro Morata and Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku for the most assists in league play this season.

The Serbian midfielder currently sports a 1.3 key passes per game average in the ongoing league campaign, which is a formidable average for a midfielder of his calibre.

Milinkovic-Savic is surely having a top playmaking season that is certainly deserving of more recognition within the league.
