In his time with Lazio so far, Francesco Acerbi has emerged as one of the top leaders within the team
Acerbi continues to be relied on as the team’s top defensive talent within its backline. More so, the Italian defender also remains as one of the more vocal players on the team.
Former Italian midfielder Pasquale Sensibile is much in appreciation of Acerbi’s newfound role as one of the leaders on the team. Sensibile spoke further to TuttoMercatoRadio about the Lazio star.
I would like to take him as an example to the children. He has done his apprenticeship since the days of being at Pavia and Reggina. At Reggio, Atzori coached him and he has always told me of his remarkable intelligence. You can see it in the way he approaches every game: he is always there, applied and a leader, contagious towards his teammates. Whoever crosses his gaze receives the message of the commander.
Acerbi has so far totalled for 27 starts in league play this season.
