Lazio’s biggest dilemma within its team may finally have a resolution soon.
Ahead of their Serie A fixture against Napoli, sporting director Igli Tare spoke to Sky Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) about Simone Inzaghi’s ongoing contract extension situation with the club. Inzaghi is yet to sign a new deal with the club and is currently slated to become a free agent manager after this season.
However, Tare revealed that the two sides will soon make official a new extension deal once Inzaghi returns from his coronavirus quarantine period.
We have already said it. When Inzaghi comes back, we will sign the contract.
We talk to each other every day and he’s doing a good job even from home, as long as we win.
Tare also touched on the recently proposed European Super League and why this concept is not best for football at the moment.
