Formello: Lazio’s Caicedo Rested From Training Despite Not Playing Against Napoli

Lazio striker Felipe Caicedo was rested from today’s training session, despite not taking part in yesterday’s painful 5-2 loss to Napoli.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 32-year-old Ecuadorian forward was absent from today’s session but is expected back tomorrow to start preparing for Monday’s match against AC Milan.

The players who started against Napoli yesterday remained in the gym, with the exception of Manuel Lazzari and Joaquin Correa, who were on the training ground for stretches.

The small group present in today’s session were Mateo Musacchio, Patric, Wesley Hoedt, Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, Marco Parolo, Joseph Minala, Danilo Cataldi, Andreas Pereira, Senad Lulic, Vedat Muriqi and Under-18 goalkeeper Tommaso Di Fusco.

The conditions of Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto will be closely monitored throughout this week, after arriving in Naples with slight issues.
