Lazio have only picked up eight points out of a possible 27 against the five clubs above them in the Serie A table.
According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the Biancocelesti have suffered in big matches this season, only managing to win twice against the current top five clubs in the table.
The wins came against Napoli at home and Atalanta away, with draws coming against Inter and Juventus at home in the first half of the season. The other five matches against these teams ended in defeat.
Next week on Monday Lazio will face AC Milan in a key clash in the race for a top four finish, and the Biancocelesti cannot afford to disappoint again if they want to qualify for the Champions League.
In their first meeting this campaign, the Rossoneri ran away 3-2 winners with a late goal from Theo Hernández. Coach Simone Inzaghi will be hoping for a different result at the Stadio Olimpico next week.
